How Do I Find Negative Keywords?

There are tools that give some negatives, but I find the do-it-yourself method to be best.

1) Simply do a Google search on any term You want negatives for.

2) Look in the first page of both organic and paid results and note any terms in the site descriptions that do not relate to Your target.

3) Pay special attention to the organic results. Go deeper than the first page if You think it is merited - otherwise, You will find plenty on just the first page.

4) Move onto the next term You want negatives for and repeat.

It can be time consuming -- but for Your highest traffic terms, it can be well worth it.
